Lettuce Trials
Lettuce and other leafy greens are known for having a quick growing season. A common misunderstanding of these short-term crops is that the biologicals take several weeks to form symbiosis so you do not get any significant benefits by the time it comes to harvest.
Our line of microbial inoculants, MYKOS® and AZOS® can quickly inoculate to increase the crop yields, weight and nutritional value of these leafy greens.
The photo on the right shows a trial done with Iceberg lettuce. The set of three on the left is the control and the set of four on the right was treated with MYKOS GEL at the time of planting.
The slideshow below is a seed establishment trial done in vitro to show the root progression. Here we are able to create a medium with the necessary major and minor elements needed in a healthy soil. Each photo shows a comparison of two jars treated with either MYKOS Gel, AZOS Liquid, or both MYKOS and AZOS Liquid and a control. The results demonstrate that inoculation of any of RTI-Ag's biologicals will increase plants establishment rates by providing more nutrients to the seedlings.
