Brassica Trials

Although Brassica's does not form an association with mycorrhizae, there are a lot of benefits that can be obtained using RTI-Ag's AZOS® Liquid, a nitrogen-fixing bacteria.

AZOS can improve establishment rate, as well as increase vegetative growth by increased root mass. Take a look at the research we have made to produce exceptional root growth.

From tissue culture to field trials, we have recorded excellent results in the use of AZOS nitrogen-fixing bacteria in various plants within the Brassica family.

Broccoli Marathon seeds were furrowed into the RTI field trials lot, a control with no treatment and an AZOS Liquid treatment.

The broccoli with the AZOS treatment shows overall faster establishment rates. The graph above is a trial we produced in the of Broccoli Marathon with Control and an AZOS Liquid treatment, both under organic fertilization the Summer of 2015.

Summer of 2015, kale treated with AZOS Liquid treatment was conducted to show the effect of inoculation compared to a control. Two rows of kale were treated with organic fertilizer and two rows of conventional fertilizer to show the effect of different fertilization practices.

Under both types of fertilization, the kale that was treated with AZOS Liquid, nitrogen-fixing bacteria, showed an increase in the total weight of the yield.

If you are interested in sampling AZOS Liquid on your farm, please feel free to get in contact with us to set up a trial.
